What is elementary Science Olympiad?
Elementary Science Olympiad (ESO) is a science competition consisting of 15 events that cover a variety of science topics. Students of any potential can compete in these events. Teams comprised of 14-18 students can compete as partners or groups of 3 in various build and lab events.

FAQs
Who can join? As this is our third year hosting ESO, we are restricting the competition to all fourth and fifth graders in the Pleasanton Unified School District.
Where and when will eso be held?ESO will be held in the spring at Amador Valley High School on April 21st from 8:30AM to 3:00PM.

how will the teams be organized?When you submit the form, we will be grouping the student with others from their school. If any parents are interested in helping with coordinating, please contact us!
how much time commitment is eso for each student?Each team will work with volunteers from the Science for Youth club at Amador Valley High School about a hour a week in preparation for their events.
how much will this cost?We are asking for a $5 donation, which will cover the materials that the students need, registration for the events, and awards. Students are also recommended to bring $15 to the day of the competition for food and snacks.
